8-09 tips...

I will be heading up to 8-09 in the next few weeks to do some scouting, I've camped and fished on Ok. lake, and did a very limited amount of hiking in Ok. Mountain park (20 years ago), but never any hunting. I drew a whitetail tag and was hoping for some pointers in the general direction to do some scouting. How did the fires affect access/wildlife in the area?

There is a GOS for immature bull moose and 6pt Elk too. Maybe this will have to be my big trip.:?

I got a whitetail draw in the same area as well and I'm wondering the same thing any help would be great

Arawana for sure as previously mentioned and I also like the area between the 7-10K mark on Carmi Rd. on the north side. Good luck.

You should have no trouble finding WT in that area.
Move less and watch more, and you won't stumble over them.

Carmi Rd, Bobcat Main. should be able to fill that one right from the truck and within winching distance too.

Kind of have to. I was in an accident a while back so I am stuck in a wheelchair.
