I am very excited being a new hunter and getting a doe tag....

I plan on taking a trip up there soon to scout out the area...any suggestions from you seasoned hunters as to where the best spot would be to shoot my very first deer???

You will get your deer if you head from rock creek town up hiway 33.

Head up hi way 33 till you come to a little settlement called Carmi.

There is a road to the left of that little settlement the creek is called carmi creek ,the gravel road runs along side of carmi creek.

Head back up into there it is good deer country ,good luck http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/images/icons/icon12.gif.

I'd check out the Trapping Creek area, and maybe Beaver Creek. Another good bet is Big White. You'll do well, there are lots of whitetailed does in those areas.

You should have no problem finding a wt doe they are all over 8-12.There are lots of does around conkle lake area as well as the areas others have already listed. You may have to search a bit for a buck after your draw is filled as they hide a little better.

Good luck

I have drawn WT doe tags in 8:12 before but couldn't pull the trigger.

If you take the second gravel road to the north off of #3 east of the
big deep bridge by the sawmill, you will find WT's a couple miles north of
the highway all the way up towards Conkle Lake.

I have found there to be mostly MD nearer to the lake. Good luck to you,
incidently we have taken several reasonable 4 pt MD right in that immediate vicinity.

Absolutely! If anyone has an 8-10 wt doe, James/Goudie would be what, a day or two to fill the tag?
