Well since I have to put a new motor in the truck it won't be this week. LOL......that motor is like a few tanks of gas worth of money. OUCH But I will get there hunting some time. I figure if MD (Michel) can get a buck I should be okay.

Ok so we're back.
Wicked trip, didnt get into the hali's like we had hoped but I got two, a 30 and a 25lb, good eating and better than nothing.

The coho were THICK offshore, beauties too for this time of year.
We took 4 coho, (after releasing about 5 because we didnt know they were open!)
Threw back I'd guess a half dozen springs between 10 & 15lbs, holding out for the big boys, which werent off shore...
So we spent the next half day and this a.m fishing the inside where we were into 25-30 more springs, ranging from shakers to the big kahuna.
We limited out and the highlight of the trip was a double header on low 20lb springs and a hammer 42lber that took us on a 300 yard run, just a couple wraps shy of the backing.
All the fish passing through are fraser runs and they fight wicked.
Weather was awesome (but man am I burnt) wind wasnt a factor and there was tons of feed around so you name it we saw it, including for the first time, watching a pod of killer whales hunt a sea lion, catch it and whip it around over 5 feet in the air, it was unreal.
I've never seen that in real life, just on National Geo etc.
We were about 150 yards away when it happened and the whole "show" lasted a good 3 or 4 minutes before all that was left was crimson water.

Pics to follow in a few mins (Forgot my memory card so only took a few and used up most the memory on a clip on the big slab)

Mmmmm fresh ling and hali cheeks for dinner.
