West Coast redemption (sort of)

Well after the last weekend of NO fish we sort of redeemed ourselves. Launched on Port Alberni and headed out.

That's my deck hand for the day Lorne. I don't know if hot chocolate and cigars go together in the morning:lol:.

No halibut as deck hand Lorne got quite sick and we only fished for and hour and a bit (I am having a hard time these days finding capable deck hands). I decided for Lornes sake (by the way he is even with my son Jake as Jake puked 5 times an DIDN't complain and Lorne didn't puke BUT complained) to head inside to Kirby Point to troll for salmon. We hit the major bite bang on and managed to land this one and lost 2 at the boat, one 30 feet out the back, and had several major strikes within a 30 minute time frame. Like it goes out there on for 1/2 hour then off.

All in all it beat the heck out of the last trip. We had a blast and we solved a few problems from last trip and found a few new ones that we'll fix this week. Gotta love the west coast:grin:.
