Yeah, I think the hold up is they ran out of those "NIL" stamps. Had to get a bunch more made up for our LEH's.

I'm only mildly interested. Previous years of drawing nothing but nil has left me with an impending sense of nil about future draws.....

I have been so lucky every year I get a draw in each place I put in for - the system for LEH must really like my flower scented purple ink pen because I get a "NIL" draw everytime.

Now I know someone out there must have a sketch or picture of that critter - I have asked before and well I am thinking y'all who get the same draw are being very selfish in not sharing the location of one.

Actually I think this year is the first year I have been excited about the draw - we put in for a copule different critters and areas this year so I am hopeful :)

The way I forget about the LEH returns is that I think about the hunts I will be on this year where there is open season for animals.

I think about where I should start out hunting on my hunt first and then the next and on and on.

I think about the deer island hunting on where I should go to find new areas ,I think about my mule deer trip I will be going on this year ,so many things to think about and keeping bessy around my house helps keep my mind off the LEH returns ,I forget all about them till someone mentions about it.:wink:

I even mailed them in from a city outside of my home zone to appear to be a tourist hunter spending lots of money to travel and contribute to the local economy. I don't know if there is anything else I could of done. So crossed fingers and good luck to everyone.

It does not bother me anymore as it has been ver 14yrs without a draw. I should tread lightly ith what I curse because one year I may get them all..........or none as usual.

My friend used pink ink pen this year ,he said that the color stands out better and is recognized more so then the black when the computer looks at it.

There has to be a more efficient way to compile all the LEH info, so we can have it in a more timely fashion. How bout those old bubble sheets, like they have been using on tests for the last 20+years.

If we got the dates this week then everyone would want them June 20 next year. Then you would want them June 10 the next year and so on. It will never be fast enough for everyone.

lets do the fall draws at the same time as the spring ones. that way everyone would have the time to plan for thier hunts if successful. Most US states draw earlier in the year.

My cousin and I have only submitted the past 3 years (including this year)...he got selected for moose in the same area for 2 consecutive years, which goes against everything my father has been telling me for the past 20 years.

Then, the jerk doesnt even go last year. What a waste.

LEH actually makes me grumpy. I have probably put in for a total of 40 draws in the past 15 years, and was only drawn twice. Once was for calf elk and once for grizzly. BOTH of those draws had something like 0.5:1 odds, so everyone who applied got drawn.

You guys know the Vancouver Island 1-10 region (Tsitika River area) for Elk? The one that is damn near impossible to get? My friend was drawn twice in three years. Plus in the past five years he has been drawn numerous times for moose and antlerless mule deer. He is a good friend I have known for many many years, so I am not talking about "i heard a friend of a friend" story. The odds for the hunts he applies for are similar to the ones I apply for.

The government says it is all luck, but it is a bitter pill to swallow. :frown:

Last year I got zero tags. However there are slight ways to up your odds. Read up on it! Also remember that the odds you are looking at are last years odds. They dont know how many people will apply for it this year, but they know how many tags are being given out, and they know how many people applied for that zone and tag last year. Also, if you believe you will get the tags, you will. But that has to do with your psychocybernetic mecanism, a whole separate topic.

I think about getting plans ready for this years hunt ,I do it after hunting season has passed from the year befor ,the LEH returns is put on the back burner and out of my mind ,I think that it is a bonus if I get picked ,thats one way I don't think about it much :mrgreen:.

Seems a bunch of computers crashed last night, and the LEH ones were affected too. ....He says the computers may be up and going for Friday. Maybe- Other services are considered more important than the LEH draw, and I guess I agree with them...
