Sounds like a good deal on a 7mm rem mag, but are BSA rifles any good?

I own a BSA in a .270 calibre.I have no complaints with it, it has always been accurate and is a durable rifle.

I have a BSA 270 and I love it - the only downfall to owning a BSA if you ever have to replace something for it - you have to send to Brittain to get parts for it - I needed a new trigger for mine as someone borrowed it and messed up the bolt removal by jamming the trigger - took a long time to get a new trigger from Brittain but just a quick fix once we had the parts.

But this sweet little rifle shoots very accurate :)

I grew up with this exact same rifle in 270 , it was incredibly accurate .5 " all day long with hand loads, loved it, shot many deer and Bear
gave it to my buddy a while back and it's still shooting game.

I love my BSA 308. Solid gun and super accurate. Bought it of an old timer that had the gun most of his life and taken many moose and deer with it.

DD you are so right on what you just said ,like I said on a this thread earlier a old friend of mine has shot more animals then a person will seen in a life time in the field when hunting ,the story is a little fetched ,but he has plugged lots of animals with his BSA ,really an accurate gun:smile:.

Great rifles actually but that bolt removal trick has caused more than a few people problems.
Usually very accurate and reliable.
I had a fella come up to me at a New years party a few years back "he said..hey I hear you know a bit about different rifles, can you tell me how you get the bolt out of a BSA?"
He had owned it for years and never been able to figure that out. LOL

Kind of funny; I've got an Austrian Voere with an identical stock to the BSA in the picture. I've seen a Parker Hale (if memory serves) with the same stock again, just with a different finish to the wood.

I have had mine since 1967ish and love it. Put many rounds through it and left many gut piles in the bush, tough rifle!

Yes!

I know what you mean ,its kinda bizzare how the bolt releases on the BSA's it doesent feel like you are even moving the trigger forward at all.
