It dosen't get any better than this. Took the kid up to the Kane valley area, where we've hunted for a few years. Wanted to get a bear in the freezer. Well we did that in spades. Me and the kid both got one, his second, but his first without any "adult help!!" all in the same day

Now it's a matter of earning the loot to make Dads bear a long time keep sake!!

Shane's bear taken 5pm on the 31st

Dad's bear taken 7:30 am that morning

On the floor at "Heads above the Rest" we figure it's just a little more than 5 1/2' but best of all is the colour that's made it a keeper!!

Congrats to you and the boy! What a day! The only thing better than coming home with a bear is coming home with two! Next year will be my boys first bear hunt, and he is pumped. I'm sure these pics will put a smile on his face!

It was a good weekend. Kechika and I came home empty handed but we got to watch Steelco skin 2 bears while he was eaten alive by mosquitos:lol:

You guys should have seen David trip his son so he could shoot the big bear first. Nice job dad;)

But seriously. It was nice the boy could hold your gear while you took 5 hrs to get the bear out from the ravine. It sure was hot out eh?

LMAO. Nice job guys. We had fun. it was great to get out of the house and see some new areas. Thumbs up and that brown coat will look great as a full rug.

That's awesome! I loove the twin hbc hats too.

In my books color phase adds an extra foot or so, so that bear is well over 6 feet! LOL:biggrin: At least that's what ray said to cheer me up when I brought in my 4 and half footer.;)
