hey im trying to find a website or something that can help me get some tips and techniques for hunting bighorn sheep. Im getting pretty bored with the standard deer hunting and am looking for a new adventure but am having trouble getting info. also what units would be good to start looking at for hunting(not looking for your private honey hole just a point in the right direction)

First of all welcome to this site. If I was looking for some good areas to hunt any kind of sheep I would talk to a sheep biologist at the wildlife branch and ask them were to hunt for big horn sheep ,etc. Good luck.

A good starting point would be to read "Return of Royalty". It lists all of the individual herds in BC. Herd numbers won't be up to date but it will give you a good starting point.
Finding legal rams will be another story....but anyone can get lucky:smile:.

Also, go here to take the "Horn Curl Education Test" as horn curl regulations vary from MU to MU depending on the species(Rocky vs Californian) and "Full Curl Bighorn" vs "Mature Bighorn".

Good luck!

Draw a 600:1 sheep tag and you've got the best chance at an "easy" one. Otherwise, hike and glass for miles and you might see some rams up in the rocks.
