I would really like to get up north for a few days for some Pike or Walleye fishing, does anyone know of any lakes that hold Pike or Walleye that would be within a reasonable drive away. Reasonable being within 12 hours of Abbotsford.

I believe for pike you need to get to the Arctic watershead which starts north of Prince George at about Summit lake and from there north. I don't have any lake names for you.

The closest area for these fish would be southern Alberta. There are a few lakes around the Lethbridge area that have good stocks of both. Would be a little further than 12 hours drive, but not much.

Let me know if you want some more info.

Charlie Lake holds a great pike and walleye fishing. The bites on for pike and are getting some pretty big fish now. A friend has a 13 and a 16 pounder so far this year with around 10 fish about at the 5 to 7 lb mark. Swan Lake by Dawson Creek holds good pike and walleye fish to.

Alberta would be closest. The nice thing there is they don't charge you more monye on a licence for living out of prov.If you want to head out that way I know a few good lakes in southern Alberta just ask.
