Hello Hunters,

Just wondering the update on most of the furs you've seen on the bears so far. I have seen a few with some nice coats still. Have you seen them getting patches? Just wondering.:mrgreen:

Saw a couple blackies with some bald patches... about a week ago.

I have seen some nice charcoal black bears but no sign of patching. I wonder when is the main time for the rubs to occur? Late May? Early June?Cheers.

I've only seen one in this area that has rubbed the rest have really nice hides still.

ive seen about 12 bears so far... and not one ugly one!!... i got one 5 and a half footer with a wicked coat... but im still looking for my pig with my bow!

All great fur that I`ve seen. Only saw about 4 so far though lol.

have seen more than dozen in last couple weekends. all have nice fur. Spring is late this year,guess they will start getting patches mid June or so around here

I saw one rubbed about 2 weeks ago on the island. However she was with cubs so no biggie.

I've stumbled on 11 in total, 7 just last Sat (reg 3). All had good hides, except 1

saw one two evenings ago with good fur , the bear i have, had ok fur which was relegated to drag duty

Seen a really nice bear last night just on the west side of the Chehalis river bridge. His fure looked immaculant to me. It ran along side of the road a bit then went into the bush toward the park.

I have seen about ten bears but no chances yet; there bolting like rockets now. I still got a couple of weeks. Good luck to everybody. Cheers.
