This year I'am going to put in for Elk in 7-20. Does this mean if I get a elk in season that I can't use my LEH tag if I get one?

That is correct. Your only alowed one big game animal in a calendar year ,if you take one elk in the GOS it cancels your LEH permit you have for your elk ,witch ever comes first when you shoot an elk in GOS.
