Hello,
This is my first thread (of many I hope) and I wanted to share a very cool Moose rack that I got in '99. Started hunting in '98 when I got an Immature bull my first year. This is the only Bull I have seen with these 2 drops on the front and big sticker out the right side. Thought I would share this as everyone I show the picture to, think it's pretty cool!

Cheers!

I have never seen one, but my dad said the first moose he shot had 8 on one side and a big spike drop-tine with like a peanut shape at the end.

I ( our group) have shot immature bulls in the the same area (with in 100 yrds) as each other approx 4-5 years apart and both have had drop tines.

Don't think I have ever seen one with drop tines. But a friend was telling me about a small paddle bull his group was after in region 5 a few seasons ago, that had one side normal and the other side flipped completely over. He wasn't that big but he sure would have been different.

I shot this guy in 7-16...Were you near that area?

I've hunted Moose for quite a few years and I haven't seen one, yet. Thanks for sharing and welcome to the site. Looks like you have a couple of up and coming young hunters.

My boss's wife shot one that looks nearly identical to yours without the extra stickers in 2005, in region 5 though. Drop tines add cool factor to a rack, even when they are otherwise just an average rack.

Lapadat shot one a couple years ago. The pic is in his gallery. Only one drop tine, off the right side.

I seen one two years ago in region 7, it had three on one side and two on the other. Thought he was a legal, he had some kind of trash on the two pointer side, so I got a little closer. It was a third point sticking straight out the side and then down towards the ground. Glad I seen the trash and looked closer. PGfullmontey do you ever work? you seem to get a lot of hunting time in? I think drop tines are a becoming more common. Here's a photo of a small drop tine bull taken by a buddy last year. I've also included photos of a couple of odd sheds I've found in the past couple of years. The bigger one stands alone with the kicker off the brow palm and the smaller one seems to have a small damaged point growing right off the burr. I've also got another buddy who shot a small bull with double drop tines similar to the one at the start of the thread (no photos though). All these bulls are also from the Prince George area. Definitely add some character to the rack!

Thank you very much 'Hummer" ... my boys and my daughter also have the same passion I do for the outdoors. Here are a couple pics of boys first animals.

Got a set from a bull I took in the clearwater area hunting with Frank Novak before he moved. I'll try to get a picture of it and figure out how to post it here. The whole side looks like it slid down by the eye. Very unique rack. Perfect 5 on the other side.
