View Full Version : Spring salmon help?

Hey all.

Next week ill be buying my Annual Saltwater Fishing licence cause i would like to give the spring a go. But i will just be going off the shore for now. What would you guys suggest i use? And approx. when is the best time to go out for 'em? Thanks in advance.

There wont be much of a salmon season this year........

haha im no bear hunter. but i shud give it a try:)
before i die, i MUST shoot blackie,grizz,moose,elk,cariboo,bighorn,goat,bison and maybe some turks lol

Stingsildas and jensen pirkins if you can find em, hour before, during and hour after high slack from shore.

Where do you live? I know a few good shoe casting spots in Victoria and Sooke.

It seems stupid but if you have a good casting rig you can cast chovies in a teaser head with a sinker and it can work pretty good too if the fish are there but jigging is your best bet no down time and you can cover lots of water. Kind of looking like not the best year to start salmon fishing though.
