wow, i see they split up the draws in the prince george region. rather than the typical moose sept 10-nov 5, they split it in two. aug 15-sep30 and oct 1-nov

interesting...

Hmmm... Lucky rabbits foot, Buddah's belliy, black ink, mail on an even dayed monday, with a half moon in the third degree of the north hemisphere, and knock three times on the mail box. Should get it this year!!!! Moosin

Why the reduction in the number of MU's that code 2141 and 2142 are valid in? Did the elk take a beating this winter? Or GOS antlerless upcoming in the regs?

Very interesting regarding LEH elk in the winter in 7A for either sex on private land only (or within 2000 meters of private land).

Might be related to the other post with the ad from the paper talking about farmers and their crops.

Nope, not unless I get an LEH or they dump the six point restriction despite the advisory recommendation. This year, I'm just hunting deer for a change. I'm likely to carry an elk tag just in case I see one while I'm deer hunting, and I might put a wee bit of effort in during the either-sex archery season, but really I'm sick and tired of wasting the vast majority of my hunting time/effort every year on elk - a pursuit I really don't enjoy anymore (I like to at least see a legal animal once in a while - and no, twice in 5 years is not even close to 'once in a while'!) - when I absolutely adore hunting mulies and whitetails and I have hardly ever spent much time hunting either because I'm always killing myself trying to get an elk.

So, this year, it's all about the deer for me. I expect it to be my most enjoyable hunting season ever. :)

Picked up my LEH cards from Army and Navy this morn. The people there told me they have already had groups of animal rights activists buy cards 20 at a time to burn them. Don't need a hunter # to buy them so they sell them.

That is funny....let them buy all they want....just a matter of printing more!

As far as I know once they are gone thats it. Not to mention if a place sells out you have to run around like a madman to find some

They are the exact same every year. Some stores even have leftovers that they use again the next year.

That's priceless. Voluntary donations to conservation. If they were smart they wouldn't be preservationist.

I'm guessing even if they were the number of tags given out the following year would go up to get the appropriate amount of management.

Too many potatoes and not enough protien? I did chuckle when I read this part of the thread. They are also adding to carbon in the air and wasting more trees.

I went to HUBS this morning - got my LEH cards - wohooooooooooooo I am ready now all I need is to see a picture of the NIL animal so I know where to put in for it - anyone with a pic of one for me :) - I get a draw every year for one and never know where to go hunting one

This is fantastic - just means more cash for conservation. I love it!

Oh yeah don't forget the black ink for extra 'luck'.

Or if you want to get drawn and go hunting put in for a low odds draw.

That is bloody hillarious that these activists would buy cards to burn.Luckily they are not educated, and we should inform them that they can be purchase at anytime during the year.I still have cards from last year, they don't change and are generally always available.Without the regs they are useless.
