I went out bear hunting yesterday but saw no bears. I did see 9 mule deer, one of which was a buck (2 1/2 year old last fall) that still had his left antler on. Its a bit late, i had to look twice because i thought my eyes were playing tricks. I watched him for quite a while along with the others he was with.

Kamloops area, it has been a very long and cold spring compared to usual. It might be affecting them.

deer drop their antlers so they can recover from the rut and survive the winter...if its a mild winter they drop later...
