god I hope not, they absolutely destroy the lands. that being said I'd like to hunt them, but I'd much rather have to cross the border to do it.

Theres supposed to be a few kicking around kelowna also, they are a ferel animal so you wont see them in the regs. I talked to a CO about it, he said if you see one kill it, anytime!

It doesnt take so very long for a domesticated pig that escapes to go wild...and not long for a few wild hogs to become many.

Hunted Harrison for pigs back 20yrs or so ago, its pretty easy to find where they are, all you have to do is look at the ground and when it looks like a dozer went through the area you are on to the pigs. The meat is good but drier than domesticated.

I will be surprised with all these bears, cougars and wolves in BC the pigs can survive for too long.

Wild boars get as big as bears and travel in packs like wolves. If people didn't shoot them they would be everywhere that they could walk to.

When I was working near Pink Mountain several summers ago, we saw a herd of wild boars. Definitely not what i expected to see in the bush up there.

I know one thing-if they are there, the evidence will be pretty clear-saw it in NewZealand -''paddocks'' as they call them all rooted and torn up-you can see it from quite a distance, theres no mistaking it.Years ago there was a special notice in the hunting regs to watch out and report any sign of boars in the frazer valley-although I haven't heard of anything in years.People say they wouldn't survive in BC due to bears and cougars-but they have survived in Europe for years, long before wolves were extinct there

My partner shot one just outside of Peace River Alberta there is a bounty on them there. So I am sure they wont be to far from the Fort St John, Dawson Creek area. Bounty on them up there
