Are the hills alive? Has anyone been out in the bush behind, or around Sooke looking for bear yet? How high (or low) is the snow line?

I havent been out yet (Merritt). My wife was talking to a couple CO's the other day and they said they already had a problem bear in Kamloops. Still abit early for us yet, but soon. Rob

I haven't been out yet but I have seen tracks in the mud 70 yrds behind my house...the bugger even took a swat at my archery bag target. I'll be taking broadheads along to target shott back there from now on.
Steve.

How high is your deck? Maybe we can install a blind with some of the necessary amenities and both get our bears without busting a gut...

I've been out the last two weekends looking for an early bear. Once to the Island and another to region 3. No luck yet. Still too early with lots of snow around. I'm heading out again in two weeks after a little more snow has melted.
