First time SSS posted up the pics of this rack it sure reminded me of this shed my brother picked up in the Spring of 2006. I think its the same buck and I ran into BCBowhead where we found the shed...he could have picked the rack up in the exact same spot. What do you guys think?

it does look similar, that's for sure. as for the sticker, that could be something grown this past year only.

Nice looking rack. Just to keep you from any possible troubles, did you a permit to remove the antlers. If you (or anyone for that matter) are not aware, you need a permit have in your possesion any form of horn or antler attached to a skull. Antler sheds are exempt from this type of permit. The reason why I asked is to keep you from any headaches.

A few years ago I found two 6 point elk locked together and dead. I removed the skulls with the antlers and had to get a permit to lawfully posess the elk. It turned out that I had to pay $72 per set, totaling $144 payable to the Ministry. Accordinly the law states that any antlets attacked to the skull is considered property of the Government.

Cheers,
Tim

The racks not mine Tim.
The shed is a fair bit smaller than that rack, the shed goes 65-70" probably, which would make it around a 160" buck when the buck shed. The shed doesnt have the sticker, but it has a small inline between the g2 and g3. I have numerous sides, including 8 sheds off one buck, and every year the rack changes slightly. Ive seen bucks go from 5 pts, to 3 pts, back to 4 pts. Here's another pic of the shed. Given how small the stickers are on the rack, i would expect that they wouldnt be seen on any sheds.

I think there's a very good chance its the same buck Matt. The tips of both G-2's bend slightly. Main beam and G-4 on both have the same wavey configuration. That buck definitely wanted to grow more then just a typical frame, one year it was a small inline, next year was sticker.

Its possible, but that inline changing to a sticker, sounds a bit out there to me. Id bet its a different deer! Would be nice to get em in the same room!

These sheds are off the same buck. He grew stickers some years, was a clean 3 point others, or even a clean 4 pt other years.

These 2 sheds are off my 04 buck, he grew an inline in 02, then was a clean 4 point in 03 and then was a clean 4 point with a small 1 6/8" sticker off his base when i got him.

Wow, having four sheds all from the same buck is real impressive, how far away were they from each other, and how far from where you plugged him?

Tooley, i believe i have 8 sheds off that buck. Here's a few more pics.

His most recent shed from 2 years ago, I picked this up last spring.

It took me 5 years to match up this set off him (Hence the color difference)

Have never seen this stated before. Have heard of rules pertaining to $$value, anything above $200 goes for auction. ???
Better safe than sorry though. A skull without a cancelled tag could point to something devious.
