Just wondering if anybody knows if Cranbrook will be having their 3D shoot's this year? I haven't seen any notices about them yet.

Ate Ate....sorry, I can't help you there. You could try giving Kevan Evans a call at Kootenay Archery - he should know.

Took my son and met a buddy who had never been to a 3-D shoot before, we had a blast. Very good course layout, lots of challenging shots.

Also was there.. Shot with some people I haven't seen for a while and my usual hunting partner.. Had a very good time. Couple of targets were in conflict with the other loop.. I'm thinking of the grizzly on B loop. Some very good target placement that made you think of distances.
Always an enjoyable shoot.. might give the summer one a go. Doing the Trail, Creston, Nelson swing next I hope. Might even try Slocan Park.

Vader, what did you think of that little brown bear on loop A. I know both of us miss judged it. The buffalo almost got me as well.

Yeah, now that I think about it, the griz target could have been set up a little better, but otherwise was a great shoot.

I 10'd that puppy both rounds.. Should have called it standing BADGER.. lol.. It was very decieving they way they had it placed.. The obsticles made it difficult to judge the actual distance. You couldn't really tell how far past the bushes it was and the size of the damn thing, made it look longer than it was.
Buffalo was a long one.. I don't have a 50 yard pin so it made it even worse trying to hold 14 yards over with a 40 yard. Got an 8 first round.. 5 second due to a brain fart, (and a mild hangover).
Nother thing that bothered me was the lack of publishing the finals after day 2. Not that I was in contention. I like to shoot just to better myself. I didn't do too bad overall. 21st after day one in the bow hunter release category. Haven't been to a shoot in 12 years.
Some of them boys was chucking sticks at 300+ fps... kinda made my mind up to upgrade this year.. Tired of letting elk walk at 45 - 60 yards. 3 last year alone. 4 the year before. The margin of error will be substantially reduced.
