Haven't cut a tag yet myself but have had the priviledge of being in on 3 good bears.......so far. Only one resulted in a charge and that was because of some piss poor shooting, myself included.

Which one?....If I had to guess I would say the middle one.....by the look on that hunter's face it looks as if he still has messy droors.:tongue:

Good guess. Ended up sliding past us on the snow as it was a fairly steep uphill shot.
I think the "pain look" was from our feet being completely frozen. "Hurry up and take the damn pic!!":mad:

Here's some footage of our hunt this fall. Sow catches a fish and eats it with her cub at about 40 yards. 6 K and I were hunting a pretty tight little creek (although it's fairly open here, hence the reason we're hunkered down!) She's not huge, but it's just amazing to watch these powerful animals. Hope you enjoy it! (I post this because although we saw lots of bears, we didn't get any pics)

Pretty eary feeling getting to within 40 yards of these three before they would leave the road and let me by.

Yo, Browningboy;

When you said: "Gotta hate the ones that venture into camp, sure makes an uncomfortable feeling while taking a dump!"

I sure heard that.

I had a big male do an end run on me one night while I was doin' my business just outside our camp. All I heard was a smashing through the brush behind me and one of my buddies yelling at me to get the Frack outta there!

Had my dash to the camper partly lit up by two 12 gauges going off in stereo into the night and as it was that bad boy just kept coming. I think the sound of the shotguns made it hesitate just long enough for me to get to the camp.
One of my home-boys was just getting a bead on it with his 7mm mag when it decided it had enough and veered off down a ravine.

Man, that was a close one! I think I woulda crapped my knickers except that I was out of poop by then ;-)

Don't much care for Grizzlies these days ;-)

Here's a young grizz I glassed up a couple summer's ago while I was scouting for muleys. I first saw it at last light the night before, only a couple hundred metres from my coyote camp. Slept close to my bear spray that night.

AWSOME pics everyone. I am now inspired to go for grizzly this fall or next spring (leh permitting) all i have to decide is if i bring the 45-70 with iron sights or the .338 with a 2-7. Im leaning towards the .338 as shot placement is fairly key with these bad boys.

There wouldn't be much point in heading back to the crapper after that one for a while. Your sphincter would be so puckered up you couldn't get a piece of dental flauce through!!!!

Heres a couple long range grizz photos, kinda crappy. I'm sure I could've gotten some better pictures over the years, but I typically like to have something with a little more fire power than a camera in hand when a grizzly is close enough for a good picture:wink:
