I left Whitehorse with a friend on Saturday driving and arrived in Vancouver today. I kept a log of the game I saw along the way:

110 Bison
6 Caribou
14 Moose
36 Elk
178 Mule deer
5 Stone sheep
3 Big horns
4 coyotes

What a great hunting Province we live in!

I don't think that there is any bison in the 37 area. Must be the Pink Mtn area (97 area). The sheep -must be Muncho Lake area.(97)
Negatory on the bison I'll bet! More like Fort Liard or at least up that ways. You typically don't see bison from the road at Pink Mountain.

What an incredible drive!

Yep gobs of Bison through the Liard area.

Took 97 through to the #1

One of the best drives of my life. Great visibility and weather with the exception of some nasty conditions through the pine pass outside of George and then rain fog from Yale down as per usual. I have pics and will post when they are developed.

Sounds great but a "game log" is 150% completely useless without pics. :-P

I know I convey the sentiments of the board when I say we eagerly await the remainder of this "log".

No whiteys at all?? Not even through the Peace?

That's a pretty good count...bet you had a great time.

I've done the drive from Whitehorse to Sparwood (via Banff/Jasper/Grande Cache) a couple times...its well worth the time. Unbelievable really.

Lookin forward to your pics.

Cheers
