Cougar kill muley

[Stone Sheep Steve]

Had a couple of spare hours on the weekend while in Kamloops for the WSSBC so a couple of us went out to look for some rams and found this muley. Can't be 100% sure but possibly a cougar kill.

Something dont quite look right about this scenario to me! The antlers look quite fresh, but the skull plate looks very old and dry looking, also how was the skull plate removed from the skull??? It doesnt look cut with a saw????? Awesome rack for sure looks in the 180's

Decent looking find. Need something in the photos for size comparison though. Can't tell if it is a dink or a good buck. ;)

Looks like most of the skull is there, just missing the facial bones is all. Not uncommon on cougar kills as they like to latch on to the muzzle sometimes and sufficate the deer.

hmmm, very interesting set you found there stone. Buddy of mine had a set very similar stolen from the kamloops sheep banquet on the weekend right out of RB's truck. Here's a few pictures of the stolen set.

Perhaps Stone Sheep Steve and Krazy should contact each other with PM's and get it sorted out. It is clearly the same rack and should probably go back to the rightful owner. I doubt of SSS would take a rack out of a pickup and then post photos of it here. Could have been some kid; grabbed it; then ditched it; who knows. Sounds like the law will sort it out if you don't first. Will be interesting how this story ends, so please keep us posted.

I tried to misdirect him with beer, but then he started snooping around and before I knew it he was heading for the Shed. Not much I can cover up when he's walking through my backyard holding the evidence. If I'm going down the crew is coming with me... I only drove the get away vehicle.

I've got some other fixes for BCBowhead, he better be ready..... Any one looking for Suzuki Samuri......

It is a very nice buck, could use a little more inside spread to make it look bigger but its a dandy.

Good for BCBowhead for being a good sport, I dont know if I could have if the the rolls were reversed.

I stand by my guns, in that picture that definitly looks every bit 200" gross, but that guy holding it must be on the smaller size cause the frame didn't turn out to be that big in reality. But still 190" gross is pretty darn good.:shock:

And actually I don't remember the LOUD talking, but my wife always says I talk louder than I realize, and that my voice carries very well, so it only makes sense that with a few barley sandwiches the volume would increase:)
