Best GOS Moose season

If you are counting on not getting an LEH moose authorization which GOS do you think is the best: Region 6 any bull Oct 20-26, Region 7 calf/spike fork, or Region 7 Peace any bull end of August or Antler restricted September/ October hunts.

The best is region 6 any bull, no draw season north of Mezziadin Junction. Lots of moose and limited pressure (if you know where to go).

I think the best opportuntiy to get an animal is the early hunt in region 7 Peace. You can hunt any bull moose until Sept 1 AND elk, although elk is trophy only, 6 point.:neutral: I think that is making the best of meager dimenishing hunting oppotunites here in BC.

For someone new getting into hunting you almost need to hire some kind of adviser to interpret where the best hunting is with all the complicated rules. Combine this with dramatically rising fuel prices increasingly restrictive gun laws and hunting/game courses a new person must take and people opt to do other things.:-(

After all of the winter kill from last season, whatever the reasons, do you really think MOE will allow the GOS to continue? This could be the reason they might need to slap LEH in those areas. If they do, I'm willing to give you odds that it will stay that way forever if it comes about.

Best region I would say is Region 6. We took a dandy bull out of there last year and only hunted it for one week. it was the first time in that area for us. Bull was 630 ready to butcher.http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/images/icons/icon14.gif.
