Here are links to pics of my whitetail I got back from the taxidermist in Friday. I took the deer in early September in the Cranbrook area on a bowhunt. The taxidermist that did the work was Dan Van Zanten, Glacier Mountain Taxidermy out of Cranbrook. He is the brother of Rick,"the owner operator of Rick's Fine Meats". I am sure most lower mainland/ Island guys who have been out and hunted the Cranbrook area know that is. It took about 6 1/2 months to be finished. I guess I am biased, but I think it is excellent work, amazing detail. One of Dan's most impressive references is he won the world championships a couple years ago in the whitetail deer category. I saw some of his full body cougars, Grizzly bears, as well as some nice goats, and Bighorns. All very nice. Hopefully, I'll have the opportunity to bring him some more buisness in the furture. Glacier Mountain Taxidermy has a website, so please have a look at some of his work.

Though not the first concern when choosing a taxidermist, what are his prices like? 6 1/2 month turn around is great.
