My 14 year old daughter has been bugging me about doing the core program. Does anyone have a good contact in the Abbotsford area??
Spring break is coming soon...

Check the BCWF website. They have a list of all the instructors in BC. If I get a chance I will find the link.

There's a course at Ridgedale in the weeks to come. Either have a look at their site or a quick drive to the range and look for the notice I saw there last week!!

I highly recommend Hart Penner 604-309-4441. He is on the core examiner list. Both my kids at 10 and 12 took the course with him and passed the first try. He teaches in Abbotsford.

My girlfriend used Hart Penner and I also would recommend him. Other friends have used Doug Tanner and he also is good

The other thing to consider, is the fact that there is talk about extending the age of youth hunting till 18 IIRC. If there's no real rush it might pay to hang on a few weeks till we find out for sure.

That said, if she's ready to go, let her!!

I second the recommendation for Kent. He went out of his way to make sure my son was ready for the test.

I got my CORE, PAL and RPAL through Hart Penner. I'd recommend him or sure.

I don't know if he still offers it or not, but IIRC if you get together a group of a half dozen or more to do the course he'll do it at your place. Might be a little more convenient. LR

I too used Hart for myself and then two of my kids, very happy. Here is a link to all of the instructors from BCWF. http://www.bcwf.bc.ca/programs/core/examiners/documents/Examiner%20Contact%20List%20Oct%202009.pdf

Third for Kent! Really outstanding guy! Took my course made it really easy for me and a friend! Then I ran into him at the Tradex show and he remember both my friend and I and started giving us hunting tips and what not. That just goes to show what a nice guy he is! Highly recommended!
