shot another coyote this morning, started the year off with 2 misses the first at around 180 yards,the second at 240yards but thought the distance was 300yards and shot over its back ranged it the next day and shot one in the same spot the following evening it had a broken snare around its neck, theres some dead cows in a log pile on my local ranch and the coyotes are hitting it hard . missed another one a couple of nights later at 240 yards again .so this morning put on my snow shoes to get closer and managed to stalk within 150 yards and killed a large male on a snow pile. shot it with my mannlicher 30.06 with 180grain federal power shok ammo at 13 bucks a box killes em nicely with minimal damage. not a great believer in premium ammo at 40 bucks a box and find these power shoks kill all game cleanly and cheaply
