Chioce dates of stone sheep hunts?

What are your choice dates of chasing stones around? Haven't quite figured that out myself, and wondering if there may be a higher that average time that others may have had success?

I personly like going after august.The month of September is what i like.Loys of guys chasing sheep in August....pushing them into their hidy holes

Ditto on september, Less people, Less BUGS,and longer haired capes.
A few extra clothes and a warmer bag and yor set.

In September you also get to see the colors change and the berries are sweeter but expect a little snow, well worth the trade off.

I would disagree. My choice dates are mid august. By that time they are hairing up for a better coat, they shouldn't be moving to their winter range yet and the weather should be steadier which reduces the chance of losing hunting days to a low ceiling. Yes the bugs are worse.

I chase them later 'cause I like them haired up and also you can go mixed bag without looking at velvet. This year I am in for the last two weeks of September instead of first two weeks of October. Hoping for less snow this time.

for me i try to get in a few days before teh season have my ram spotted and get him on the first opening day if it all works out yes the bugs are bad but day light out till just about 11 hard to beat on nice days

Mine are opening week, end of August, 3rd and 4th week of Sept and last week of October.

Kind of off topic, but in and around Oct.10 for me for hunting rockies in the east koots.
