Hello boys and girls. I am looking for a new tripod, something that can support the weight of a Swaro 60x. I want it exclusively for backpacking so it should be light and sturdy. I have been looking at a Manfrotto but I was wondering what everyone else was using. Thanks in advance for your input.

I don't think you want my Manfrotto 058 for back packin, 13 lbs, I just got one from Wally World for $29. and it is perfect for a scope about 2 lbs, I use my 15x60 on it and no shake and it can be lowerd rite to ground level.

We use a optex T-12 with a cullmann quick release on it, it's very light weight and extends to about 24 inches. We also have a swaro 60 on it and it works fine. I don't think the quick release comes with the tripod but it's a must have.
