Warmed up abit outside so took the Boy out back for some stick flinging.
Setup Mr Bear at 15 Meters...my Son was making some pretty good shots so I broke out the 48 lb Chekmate and landed a good shot.....the second arrow well..........I heard the metallic thunk and knew it wasn't gonna be pretty!:o

Sorry I didn't have the cam outside.......might be able to salvage the fletchings and tip off the 1st arrow...but that'll be about it !

Although it looks so Good together I may just leave them for a Wallhanging !

Actually I'm pretty tickled by it...broke a few nocks and shaved the odd feather off with a broadhead but this is my 1st RobinHood !! at least it was with the Cheapie Easton alloys......

My son just stared at it when we walked up to the target.......he looked as shocked as I was, I guess he figured I was in trouble !

you should keep it together . Not very often you get a RH with alun. arrows .

Very nice, lots of fun when you pull off one of those. Looks like you'll be ready for some bears this spring!! I just picked up a new toy for back up gun.

Yep....figure I'm pretty Lethal now out to 20 meters, give or take:wink:
Of course things may get abit "twitchy" looking down the shaft at a Bear.....we''ll see how that goes ?

Do tell Kirby, what'd you pick up for backup ?

Got my backup all ready.......

Marlin 444. It packs some punch(on both ends) Gonna cut and crown the barrel to 18.5, new recoil pad and possibly magna port the barrel, along with a nice new XS sight should round it out to be one damn good coyote gun:shock::smile:.

but I'll let you go hand to hand for awhile if you want...

Sounds Cool ! If you know Morph (Powderkeg fame) he shoots some seriously wicked loads through his 444....they literally rumble the ground when you stand beside him.....Big Thump for a stretched out 44 Mag:wink:

but I'll let you go hand to hand for awhile if you want...
Well just until I begin to cry...then feel free to end my pain:|

Nice shot!!

My father in law competes with a bow and he has a couple of those hanging on the wall (like a "non" hunter's wall mount!!)

A trophy in it's own class!!

I have never pulled of a robinhood with my compound in 14 yrs to do it with a recurve is somthing impressive.

yea it's an unusual sound when it happens!
I still have mine --- propped up on my mantle --- and I can still remember the details of when I did it ---- and it happened about 3 years ago! lol

Good on ya Wil...now you know how to avoid doing it again! It does get to be costly...

one peice of advice ... Dont do that with Easton ACC or ACE arrows ... That really hurts your pocket book at 200 and 500 bucks a dozen ...

Congrats Will ... I have my first RH hanging on my first buck horns taken with a bow ...

Congrats!! I still haven't pulled off a RH with my recurves. Or my wheel bow for that matter (although I won't shoot at the same place twice in a row with it, so an RH would be a mistake anyway).

I would definitely find a conspicuous spot on the wall for it. :D

Cheers,
