comparing my Ultravid 10X to Swaro 10X there is a barely noticeable advantage in low light with the Swaros- But to my eye, the Leicas appear clearer...

I haven't compared the two side-by-side, but I can say my Leica 10x42 Trinovids are awesome glass. But so is my Swaro 65HD spotter. I don't think you'll regret purchasing either of the two brands.

Not to hijack your post, but have you looked at the new Leupold HD's?

I purchased a pair after researching bino's for a year and half and to me they were the best, at least to my eyes. I have used or compared them to Leica, Swarvo, Minox HG, Vortex Razors and numerous "cheaper" brands and they fit and worked the best for me. The other great thing is that Cabelas has them on sale at $600 off. I did a review of them on here, just do a search.

Leica has also gone to a 10 year warranty for all new bino's, so make sure that you get the old ones with the lifetime, non-transferrable warranty.

Here is the link to that info

What ever you choose, make sure they are the "ones" for you.

Buy bino's is like buying a car or truck, have fun.

When I made my purchase I chose the Leica's over the Swaro's.Just seemed a little crisper. That being said when it came time to purchase my spotter the Swaro H.D put the Leica out to pasture,no comparison in my eyes.JMO

If you want binoculars that are sharper and brighter get the Zeiss FL's.
