I wonder if I'm the only one who would love to have Fluorescent orange arrows for my cross bow, I'm tired of looking for "camoflaged " arrows when I miss, which Sometimes happens, so I've been trying to find bright fluorescent arrows, I've searched the web and everywhere and I can't find any, lots of Bright fletching, and arrow wraps, which I'm sure change your arrow flight(maybe not) I'm even in the process of trying to paint some of my carbon arrows to see if that will work, so far messy and I'm not sure the end result will be great, but worth a try, so .... any one else see the common sense in arrows that are easy to see in the bush?? and do you know where a guy could get some??:???:

 Hey Boyd050 , Most arrows from the higher poundage compound and traditional bows are hard to find in the bush no matter what color they are . The same would apply for crossbow bolts .

dip em into Flo paint

wraps weigh in at about 10 -13 grains .... Wont change yer flight all that much .... at 30 yards you might hit 2" lower than without ...depending on yer crossbow

I agree they're hard to find but I bet I'ld find em better if they were orange!!! usually takes me quite a while of looking and I hate losing them If I don't have to, as for the wraps, I shoot a 150 horton, so I guess I could use wraps and practice more with wrapped arrows, but I really would like all orange arrows!!!!

If you're painting carbon shafts you need to apply a base coat of white and then the flo color of your choice to make it stand out.

thanks guys, I actually painted some and finding out .. it's going to work!! your right about a base coat, I used a grey primer but going to white for a better bright! a little steel wool when they dry, a couple more coats and I have what I'm looking for! so it you find fluorescent arrows in the bush... call me their mine!!!! :-P!!!

Hey guys. I can't remember what the product was called but when Bell Satelite was running a free preview of the hunting channel there was a commercial for "lighted nocks". I'm not an archer but it looked like it would do the trick nicely. The arrows in flight looked like "tracers". Sorry I can't be of more help.

luminocks ....

ya there a good product ... but at 10 dollars per each and weighing close to 30 grains drastically changes the way the arrow flies on a lighter arrow ...
I will continue to dip ...

I actually was looking at them and they indicated they were for the alumium shafts, I don't think they would work in the carbon ones, good idea though as for the weight I'm sure if you got used to how your arrows fly with them you could compensate accordingly!!

Luminocs work on both carbon and metal - and carbon/metal "hybrid" shafts. There are people (lots of them) who make homemade ones, which work very well. Do a search over on A.T.

Mikey, be careful where you do your dippin' http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_6_213.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZSYYYYYYJOCA)

Luminoks work awsome and I use carbon shafts. I even shot one into snow and found it in seconds! 10 bucks isn't that bad when you consider what your arrow and tip costs.
