X-Mas Blacktail

Just got this mount back with help from my Taxi/buddy Jamie @ HighCaliber. I'm really happy with the turn out!

This was a buck was taken in the early 80's by the old man and I decided it was worthy of a mount and got'er done for his X-mas present.

Thats an awesome buck,and a great looking mount.As the years go by we realize how few and far between the big ones are.Have you had it scored?It looks well over 100".

Your taxi/buddy did a great job of matching up the colour.
If I didn't know better I would say they were the same deer/cape.
Eventhough your Dad figures he will shoot a bigger one:rolleyes: It's pretty darn nice of you to take the pressure off.

Unofficially we've taped this buck out at 119" net. We are usually within a couple inches of official measurements.. Dads got others that score better but this guy is equally impressive regardless of score and didn't deserve to be hidden in the shop! His other mounts are in the photo gallery..
