Date will be January 12, 2008


Count will take place in the agriculture areas around Fort St. John, Chetwynd and Dawson Creek (MUs 7-20, 21, 32, 33, 34, 35, 45 and 46).

Anytime between 12:01 am and 11:50 pm.



Goal of the count is to collect data on trends in population and location of deer, elk and moose.

To participate one must attend one of two information sessions either January 5 @ 7:00 PM at the Dawson Creek Sportsman’s Club, or January 6 @ 7:00 at the North Peace Rod & Gun Club.

Apparently this didn't fly very well. Maybe a lack of advertising ? Only three volunteers showed up in Dawson Cr. Hope the count goes.
I thought there were more concerned hunters in that region, that would get behind this.

Don't really need a count with the regs there - the critters will just bounce back naturally. heheh

There were quite a few people that attended the one in Fort St. John. I was pleasantly surprised. Probably around 30 give or take a few. Quite a few land owners and farmers.
