I was wondering if anybody could direct me to any good areas for coyotes in Merritt or Princeton. I would like to do some coyote hunting over my Christmas break but there is limited access in the FV. I would most likely be doing day trips. General areas would be good I am not looking for honey holes. I have never hunted in Merrit or Princeton, that's why I am asking.

Ive never hunted that area as it is a good days drive from here, but locating coyotes isnt difficult. Go out after dark or early before sunrise (10pm or 5am) and do some howling. Even using an air raid siren will get them to howl back. If its on private land, find out who owns it and ask, if its crown, get in position for daylight and have fun

What type of areas should I be looking for? Open areas? Elevation? Etc?

I know its a different highway but around the stump lake area I always see a few usually in the summer when heading out there for fishing and such

not sure if its private land across from the boat launch area though

good luck when you go

open areas make them easier to spot, and easier to call
