I have a bunch of club shoots throughout Washington and north Oregon on my calendar to shoot this year and also NW Mountain Challenges at Hoodoo resort Oregon and Stevens Pass Washington. Have been crossing the boarding for the past couple years for Stevens Pass event.

How easy is it to bring a bow or a gun across the border if you were going to attend one of these events, or hunt?

Bows are easy. Done it a few times both at land crossings and YVR

I should mention, going into the USA they classify archery stuff as sporting goods. Coming back I got hassled a bit for not declaring I had a weapon at the computer they use at YVR. There’s no restrictions on bows other than the pistol xbows though.

For firearms get a form 6 from ATF, fill in and submit

To the OP D,
I'd like to hit the Northwest Mountain challenge. I was going to last year but ended up having to work. The stuff in the PNW looks promising but if you are in Texas, it's flat and boring...

Traditional Bowhunters of Washington put on The Rock Shoot in Moses Lake the last week of April. This a traditonal only shoot for stickbows. It is well attended (300+) shooters with lots of vendors. Dry camping...I will be going again this year. Traditional only! Three day shoot.
