Good Afternoon,
I hope everyone had a successful hunting season and an enjoyable Holiday Season. For my son and I 2023 brought as an incredible new first. A moose hunt out of Dease Lake provided all the adventure that we craved and then some.
Now let the planning begin for the 2024 Hunting Season. After our great adventure and successes in region 6 we are starting to dig through the many threads and stories of wild adventures on the Spatsizi Plateau. I'm hoping some of you with first hand knowledge can share a little info:
When applying for a shared hunt LEH I noticed that a combination Caribou/Moose hunts were about 4.7-1 but applying individually for each species the odds looked much better. This must be a misunderstanding on my part, is anyone able to explain this to me?
Cold Fish Lake seems like a pretty popular choice but I assume with popularity comes congestion. There are other lakes that seem promising.
Does anyone have a good recommendation for an operator to fly in with?
How soon does a person need to book flights (hard to plan until LEH results are out)
