Well with the LEH bull moose success and cutting up the meat myself we purchased the Cabelas
1 3/4 HP Carnivore Meat Grinder to do the mince . I was hesitant as the reviews were mixed .
I just don’t know how there can be such extremes with reviews , maybe some things reviews are just lemons . Also coming from many years in the meat business I would have preferred to buy an industrial / commercial branded grinder like Hobart ,.Biro, ButcherBoy but the prices are out of reach for me . Coukd have sourced one of those used or at auction but needed it now .
Well ran a lot of meat through the grinder and it operated without issue . First through the larger holes plate and then through the smaller plate . The grinder has a freezer pack that wraps around the auger housing to keep it cold while running it . Placed the parts in the freezer the day before using it ,that helps and is recommended .
If it this unit lasts it will be worth the money !
