LEH Bull Moose Trip to 7-28 Cut Short.

Got there Sunday evening, scouted on Monday morning, went back to the decided spot in the evening and dropped the bull. Only two of us. Got back home Tuesday night in LMD. Back still sore. The reason I posted this was because I'd never hunted in Region 7. The rest of my group had just came back from 7-28 empty handed without seeing a soul. I wasn't planning to go cuz it was too far. One of them kept bugging me. We brought in 7 full jerry cans and had to use the fuel on our way home. Still in disbelief. 70% luck and 30% knowing what you do.

LOL I honestly have no idea. The other guy knows the area and drove me around. My job was looking for the right spot. I've never hunted in that region. Too quick to know the area.

So much for the holiday, I have had that happen and have been disappointed upon arriving back home because the trip that I looked forward to all year was over.

The quickest hunt 4 of us ever had... left Victoria early Wednesday for the Prince George area with 3 leh's - bull, cow, calf.

Back in Victoria Sunday night with all three tags filled.

I miss moose hunting.

Way better then taking one on the last day of hunt and all the hard rushing around etc or worse, passing up on a bull because it’s just too late and you have to leave!
Thats happened twice!
