I am looking to pick the brain of a local Blacktail hunter. I am located in Mission and will buy you a beer or two in recompense for your local knowledge . I am also a member of MDRGC for the past two years. I am NOT looking to know where your pockets of blacktails are. I am looking to help myself figure out the deer in my own pocket where I have had cams for 1.5yrs.
I am just looking to get some firsthand knowledge of their seasonal habits, dietary habits, etc. Anything that will help me pick apart my own spot.
I have read Trophy Blacktails: The Science of the Hunt by Scott Haugen. I feel I need some confirming or direction based on the knowledge that he imparts in his book, as his knowledge is based on Washington to California blacktails and not BC blacktails.
