Between Prince George and Williams Lake over the last week I've seen thousands of sandhill cranes and that's just what you can see from the highway. These are mostly heading to Texas where they will be hunted, I see no reason why BC hunters should not be able to take one or two a year not that I'd be one of them but I think the opportunity should be there.

That would be awesome if we could have that opportunity in BC. However the "rib eye from the sky" might be extinct by the time our government would allow it. I cherish the memories of hunting them in Manitoba and most of all eating them.

I believe Alberta has a Sandhill Crane season. Restricted to certain WMUs in that province.

I nearly stepped on one in a slash up North during our Moose hunt this year.

There is a season for them in Saskatchewan, I'd love to try that one day maybe..
