7-38 ominica moose hunt Oct

Hello all, We have a moose draw up in 7-38 for the October hunt and have to travel threw Germansen landing to get to our spot on the river. There is an early hunt going on right now and I was wondering if anyone has a draw or knows anyone with a current draw that could give us any information on the fires and conditions. Haven't been up that far recently, but have been watching the fire maps. Very dry in the north and all the large fires are still very active and growing. The one north of the Omineca river is actively chugging east towards germansen and has nearly doubled in size in the last week. Probably best to wait a while.

bad news buddy, the whole area is closed to any recreational activity because of the fires

Thanks for the info above!Our draw is Oct 10 to Nov 5 so we are going to sit wait and see what happens.
