Just wonder how many years the restrictions are usually on for after wildfires? Curious about areas that burnt in 2021. 5? 10 years? Indefinitely lol?

Well thanks to the John Horgan + NDP signing the province over to the FN"s with the UNDRIP Indefinitely might not be out of the question

Well, Greenstone Mtn burned in 1998 and is still closed, so I'm going with indefinite.

Elephant Hill fire was in 2017 and Atv riding restrictions came off last year but fall hunting restriction is still in place.

Either 50 years until the trees grow back or until we breed out the last 1/8!!
But by then we will be paying for the 1/64th variety also.
So never, but in 50 years from now there won’t be squat to hunt anyways!

Unless you have one of those special FN cards .................................................. ......

I encountered this first hand last year , I hiked into to my spot which is motorized restricted I was 1.5 hours in on a spur road excited that I wouldn’t be seeing road hunters . Come over the hill and I see there’s a truck sitting there In idle . I was in disbelief .i walked up and seen its a FN .
these rules are a joke!
on same trip while hiking I also seen a truck supposedly getting firewood in a Motorized restricted area and I didn’t hear any chainsaws or see any wood in vehicle . Doesn’t mean they weren’t doing it but I was in the area for 45min and not a sound .

The 3-18, 3-19 restrictions were initially claimed as being put in place for safety. The trees, roads and hill sides were apparently too unstable to allow anyone but workers in; and of course FN which were apparently somehow immune to falling trees, washouts, and land slides. Never did figure that one out.

They are never going to lift them by choice and logic doesn't play a role.

It's just more NDP hypocritical BS while giving special preference to one special group.

They create more Racism by this

For those wondering the ministry told me this lol

The only information I have been given is that we are were hoping to have some amendments by spring but unfortunately, there has been no updates on anything at the moment. Once any amendments take place the motor vehicle website will be updated.

Closures due to safety concerned obviously didn’t apply to the 100’s of mushroom pickers or wholesale buyer camps set up in the closures, last spring. 18 month closure but no ‘sunset’ date when the gov’t rammed them through.

Same as 3-29 the hippys were everywhere with designated camp spots set up by skeetch band with blue portable sh*tters.

Most of my friends ages vary from 70's to 80's and we all think we have lived through the best years earth has seen. It will never be as good as we had it...

I agree 100%. As things gradually deteriorate I imagine that when current young generation get up into their senior years they will look back at how things are currently and refer to then as the "good old days". I shudder to think what their world will be like.

Hell, I look at old photos of when my dad arrived in 1960 in his early 20’s.
Even by the time he died last year, he said he had already seen an immense decline.
And he was saying that already 20 years ago.
So, one man’s adult lifetime hit us to here.
If I make it his age, which would be 25 years from now, I can’t imagine how much worse it could get, but it dies and will.
My daughter is only 15.
There won’t be squat and what is left will be closed.
