Looking for any dirrection on boat insurance. The boat will be for pleasure use only, will be stored on land when not in use and will be used for both the island and the interior.

Any help would be great

Thanks

I use a rider on my house insursnce through Beacon. I pay about 400 per year and it includes 3 million liability, theft, fire, and all other scenarios. The cost largley depends on horsepower and size of boat. The insurance has to be for a whole year too.

Stay away from any policy underwriten by Premier Marine. Beacon, Coast or Dolphin would be a good choice.

Staying away from Premier Marine is very good advice. Beacon, Dominion and Chubb are all good. Being in the boat repair business i have experianced these companies all deal with their claims properly and pay cliams quickly.
