what exactly are you baiting? I was under impression it is illegal to bait?

its not illegal to bait for many things... deer, predators etc

I recently had a bear a 20lb cub on camera for days eating the beavers. Mom wasnt around. I removed my bait and tossed a beaver in the trap and caught the bear an hour later

You mean a live trap, you catching it for COs. Dont no where you are but would think if some thing killed the mother it wouldnt be to far away wouldnt think a cub that small would travel
to far. Did hear yesterday that there is one out here as well but didnt go to confirm it yet.
