My 2022-2023 Photos (Pic heavy!!!)

It was a strange season..... Started out without many ducks in our area for opening day so we decided to focus on a goose spot we have access to.
Lots of geese around and we got our 20! But only had 17 ducks come in and we dropped 15, one duck was banded in Fairbanks, Alaska!
No specks this year but we did have 4 snows come by. I took 2 shots at my end bird, my buddy Chris had tripled on the rest by the time I looked for another.
My buddy Darcy shot another banded bird with me last month. It was banded in Abbotsford of all places. A chat with the local bander informed of us birds getting captured and tested for Avian flu a year earlier.
My Pittwaterfowlers group hosted a duck hunting clinic in Sept. and funds collected are going towards our Wood Duck nestbox program. It was a great success, we brought the attendees along to join us on a hunt during the season too. Great guys, all said they benefitted from the experience. We handed out some patches on the hunts to everyone, good times in the blind!

I found these crests in my fathers things. He would give them out to his friends that he hunted with.
Im carrying along with the tradition!
One new hunter was adamant that he didn’t want it. He came out again and because he saw it was all in fun, he asked for it!

Late goose season ended today.
My hunting partner and I finished the season with 3 more big Canadas today.
