I just got off the phone with him. He is in reno right now. He was giving the low down. He's as hard core as they come. Of course I know where he shot it just not the mountain where the goats dna is spread. He claims there others. I have pics he sent me but not the go ahead to post here. Pretty happy for him.

hmmmm seems like exactly what happened in the Chadwick stone sheep record out looking for fresh meat he encountered the ram and he commented on what a small bodied ram...not realizing the plus 50 inches per side was what only made the ram look small.

goats are really hard to judge....amazing goat..CONGRADULATIONS....yup there are still great genetics and remote access requiring a hardcore hunter to bust his ass...

well done.

A freak of a billy, those first few years of growth are insane. Iv heard rumour of 15” in length, has anyone seen any score info on him?

I believe the record was broke twice this past season, not much info on the new #2 yet though.

Nice to see!
Glad that we can still grow a few that can get to an age to get that big.

How old would you put that goat? Amazing genetics

From the picture he doesn't look overly old for his size. Unless he has a bunch of stacked rings right at the base he only appears to be 7-8 years old!

By the sounds of things aged at 7.5.

Great Billy.
Congratulations to the Hunter

Hahaha that is insane, congrats to him!

Way to go BC and a BC boy to boot, we definitely seem to be the reigning champs when it comes to Goats. So now we hold #1 for Roosevelt Elk, Mountain Goat and Mountain Lion I believe, not sure if any more.

Cool

#1 Stones Sheep, and that record more that likely will never be broken.

Nice to see, an unguided resident hunter, take such a tremendous animal. Hard work pays off.

I happened the pick the right year to head to Reno, witness the scoring panel do their thing and hold those beastly horns a few times. Justin’s a great guy and the WR couldn’t have gone to a more deserving guy. He puts the effort in to train hard every year for the mountains and learn the land.
I’m no bio but I aged the goat at 8 years old . . . he still had some growth years left!
