This gun ticks off a LOT of boxes. Combine this with a compact survival .22 and you'd have the ultimate survival gun package.

Ya, nice.
I like it but surviving just got expensive. ;)

No thanks.
45/70 in a takedown.
I don't think so.

Hey, Adria, it digests .410 rounds as well for the softer survivalists.

Cant you shoot 410 out of 45-70\458 anyway if you can find 410 ammo as a single shot? I have never tried but no people who have out of 458win

Pretty cool, but I think they are dreaming on price. I have to wonder if other 45/70 lever guns will shoot a 410 shoot shell, could that not be bad for the rifling?? Think I saw a 450 marlin in a BLR take down on town post for about $2000, which is more than they sold for new. Very nice looking.

I’d survive better with just a big freakin gun.
Better on big bad things and big tasty things.
Make surviving somewhat more fun!

I agree on price, 5k is over the top.
What appeals to me is the packability, with enough snoot to put the hurt on a bear with bad intentions.

It's not an everyday hunting rifle IMO, but it has definite merit for a grab and go bug out gun.

While I love what WWG builds, and Marlin 1895s in a big way, I think I would go with this for $199.00. Rifled slugs for bears and deer, and shot for anything else:

Looks like a silly overpriced toy in my opinion. While I think 45-70 is a decent caliber, isn't doesn't hold a candle to a 22 gauge.

Haha!!
I’ve heard a 22 gauge is the best, haven’t ever seen one yet tho….I better start asking to see one at gun counters

Can I kill a Pterodactyl with a 22 Gauge weapon?

Can I kill a Pterodactyl with a 22 Gauge weapon?

Yes, but only if the stock is made of synthetic materials. The wooden ones are less powerful.

Got that one covered, next year I'm IDENTIFYING as a 1st Nations member of Society...no need for me to concern myself with Whities restrictions! :)

10-22 for the island is all you need to survive.

Used to think shotgun, but you can pack way more ammo with 22.

adriaticum

Single shot 12 gauge, with 357/44 magnum tube is all you need.

I'll stick to my BLR in 358 WIN. Cost like a third of that gun and the caliber is far more interesting to me, hehe.
