Hello All

Heading out next week to Region 3-38 and hoping for a little advice? I’m new to Region 3 and have e_ scouted what I hope are some attractive looking areas. Not looking for honey holes etc just hoping I won’t be wasting those precious vacation days on barren ground :)

Thanks in advance…much appreciated!

Shitty attitude if you think it’s wasted days. Trial and error is how you will find a good spot to call your own for the most part!

There are pockets of deer and moose but quite a bit of it is steeper country so there's definitely better WMU's to hunt but like mentioned, it's never wasted days..

Haven't hunted the area but last winter I drove the connector between Hwy 97 & Yellowhead (Little Fort). Definitely some steep terrain there particularly as you travel east. As others have mentioned, get out there & get boots on the ground. Be prepared for some climbing. The more moderate terrain is west of that MU. As to where the critters could be, anywhere & everywhere.

All mu,s in the province can have great hunting..you need to find the game though.

Many hunters in Vancouver travel to Barrier to hunt in the recent years. 3-38 was a good area 10 years ago, not anymore...
