Was hoping you found the axe I lost 15 years ago!
Appreciate you reaching out to return lost property. And welcome to the site.

I miss that area!
Some great hunts back in the day.
Hope you find it.
Every year on my elk hunt I revisit an area I had an elk and have yet to find a beautiful puma knife my grandfather gave me that I lost.

I have a hard time losing $5 let alone $600+ so i can only imagine how crappy that must have felt to go for your knife and find that it's gone! that's awesome you guys made a connection like that under similar circumstances, pretty incredible finding these little things, this knife was just laying there in the dirt half covered, almost stepped on it even!
