Hello all...

I've searched through the Wildlife Act and the Wildlife General Regulation and cannot find any legal/regulatory basis to grant or deny a permit to accompany. Have I missed something? Any insights would be welcomed...

All I've ever seen is the regional restrictions document on the website, but cant say I've gone looking for the legislation. Interesting topic for sure!

managers discretion

"Unlike laws, policies and procedures are not binding. While Ministry staff are typically guided by policy and procedure, they may choose not follow policy and procedure if appropriate to best carry out their duty."

I believe they also set a limit to tags in some zones, so early bird gets the tag sort of thing

I am sure that all PTA have to go through the local FN's who's "lands" you will be hunting on....

I know in the Peace they have to be consulted on with Treaty 8 bands before they can be approved. That's why they ask them to be submitted in the spring to ensure they get consulted on and a decision out before the season.

Cheers
